Frequently asked questions
Answers about signing in, funding your card, and how KF BUCKS works.
What is KF BUCKS?
KF BUCKS is a stored-value gift card for the offline Korea Festa event, run by Good News New York Church. You fund a card with real money, then spend the balance at Korea Festa stalls. It is not a bank account, a credit product, or a general-purpose payment card — it only holds value for use at the event.
How do I sign in?
There is no password. Enter your email and we send a six-digit code to that address. Enter the code in the app to sign in.
What is the difference between Purchase and Reload?
Purchase creates a new Korea Festa Card and funds it. Reload adds funds to a card you already own. Both go through the same limits: between $1 and $300 per operation.
Is there a limit on how much I can add, or how many cards I can have?
Yes. Each Purchase or Reload is between $1 and $300. You can own up to ten Korea Festa Cards, and up to ten combined Purchase and Reload operations per day across all your cards.
Who handles my payment card details?
Square does. When you fund a card, your payment card details go directly to Square — they never pass through our servers. Square also holds the authoritative balance and activity for every card; the number on your card is a Square Gift Card GAN.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes. After a successful Purchase or Reload, we send a confirmation email to the address on your account.
Can I use KF BUCKS anywhere besides Korea Festa?
No. It is built for spending at the offline Korea Festa event only.
Can I close my account?
Yes — in the KF BUCKS mobile app, open Support and choose Close account. Every card must have a zero balance before closure completes; see the Privacy page for what happens to your data. You can also request deletion by email at kfbucks@goodnewsny.church.
Something isn't working — what do I do?
